This Q4 1942 Junior Vacumatic has a slight variation of the Jeweler’s Band commonly known as the ‘stacked coin’ capband. This capband was also used on other Junior sized pens such as the Shadow Wave and Vacufold in 1942. Pens with these capbands were not advertised in Parker catalogs and were only available through jewerley stores which makes them less common than your standard Junior Vac. This pen is in excellent condition with wonderful clarity and a crisp barrel imprint. I have restored it so it works like new. This double jeweled Vacumatic Major was made in Q1 of 1941 and is the same size as a 3rd Generation Vacumatic Major or 2nd Generation Junior. The Jeweler’s band is a well known, uncatalogued, factory original feature found on pens only sold through jewelery stores. The caps feature an extra broad band with concentric rings and a cartouche for engraving. These pens are not as common as typical Vac style cap bands and the Azure color is a favorite amongst collectors. I have fully restored this pen so you can be sure it will work like the day it came from the factory and the fine/medium nib lays down a smooth line. It has amazing clarity and when I dipped the nib water no ink was washed away which makes me think this pen has never been inked. The Parker Parkette De Luxe was introduced in 1934 as a lower tier pen that cost $1.75, compared to the Vacumatic that retailed at $7.50 for the smaller sizes and $10 for the Oversize. The Parkette is the only line of pens made by Parker with a lever filler and this one has been restored to function as well as the day it came out of the factory. The Parkette De Luxe has a beautiful fluted design that when combined with the black and red marbled celluloid give a personality all its own. The cap is supposed to have three gold plated rings but when I acquired this pen the rings were missing and it looked like someone tried to sand away the grooves. I finished the process to remove any trace of the grooves and polished the cap lip to match the rest of the pen. The fine semi-flex nib still has its two-tone plating intact and is a delight to write with. With soft pressure the nib writes a consistent fine line, but if you lean into it a little you can bring out some nice flex. $60 SOLD

This gorgeous Azure Pearl Deb was made in the 3rd quarter of 1942. The diaphragm is in perfect working condition and fills in only 4-5 pumps of the plunger. Although the barrel has ambered it still has good clarity and is easy to see the ink level. The cap band and clip are in very good condition. The blue diamond is fully filled and easy to see. The fine nib lays down a nice wet line in the smooth fashion Parker nibs are known for. This is a great small pen that fits nicely in a shirt pocket just waiting for you to use it. $70 SOLD

For sale is a stunning black Vacumatic made in the 3rd quarter of 1941. The long major is 135mm in length and feels great in the hand whether posted or not. This pen has been fully restored which includes a new diaphragm, thorough cleaning of the nib and feed, and a polishing job that really makes this thing shine! The barrel clarity is very good, even with the ambering. The two-tone nib is in great condition with all the plating on the arrow intact. The nib is incredibly smooth and lays down a consistent wet F/M line.  The tassie, cap band, and clip are in very good condition with only slight brassing on the edges of the clip. For sale is a 1945 Silver Pearl Vacumatic. There are a few inconsistencies with this pen. First, the original nib was badly damaged when I received it and has been swapped out for a Parker VS nib with lots of flex. Secondly, I don’t know of any Vacs after 1942 that continued to use the jeweled blind cap, especially as late as 1945. The blind cap does match the rest of the pen very well, both in color and fit. The length of the pen when capped measures 131mm, which  puts it right between the Major and Long Major. This pen has been completely restored: new diaphragm, nib, feed, and breather tube thoroughly cleaned, and the entire pen has been polished to a great shine. The pen does have a personalization imprint of “W. CAMPS” that blends in fairly well. Both the clip and blind cap have some wear to the plating around the tassies. The pen feels great in the hand and the nib is a joy to use. $130 SOLD

For sale today is a stunning piece that doesn’t show up all that often. A Silver Pearl Vacumatic Desk Set with jaw dropping clarity and a matching striped base. The pen also includes the original box, which has seen better days but is still holding together nicely. The bottom is stamped in gold “Made in U.S.A. Box 501″.  This pen was shown to Dr. Isaacson at the 2009 L.A. Pen Show and he believes it to have never been filled and only possibly dipped. This pen has a strong and easy to read imprint which shows it was made in Canada in Q2 of 1937. The two tone 14k nib has all of its plating intact and looks great. The lock down filler operates properly and the diaphragm is still very pliable.

The base is in excellenct condition. The Parker label on the front is slightly scratched and there is a small chip out of one of the bottom corners. The felt on the bottom is well preserved with no tears or missing chunks. The layer of celluloid in the base looks almost more beautiful than it does on the pen.

This is a rare chance to own a very well preserved piece of history. If you want to know what a Vacumatic looked like when it was new, this is probably as close as you’re ever going to get. $695
