I selected this particular shotgun because of the price. It was very cheap, something you can tell by looking at the quality of the wood and the overall appearance of the gun. The only thing I don’t like about it is that it only has shell extractors and not the auto-ejectors. I don’t really think one is better than the other, its just a personal preference. I could have stepped up to the Condor Competition which would have given me auto-ejectors, along with a selectable trigger, and better quality wood, but the Competition costs twice as much as what I paid for my gun.

I’ve shot it three times since I’ve owned it and put about 150 shells through it without any problems. It weighs about 71/2 lbs, which is slightly on the heavier side for shotguns. But that helps absorb some of the kick. My shoulder didn’t have any problems with going through 75+ shells (using Federal 2 3/4″, 7/8oz, #8).

I wouldn’t have any problem recommending this gun to other first time shooters. While I can’t comment on the long term reliability or field durability I can say its a solid gun well worth its affordable price tag. For more information check out http://www.stoegerindustries.com/
