This beautiful Cordovan Brown “51″ is just one of many that I’ve restored. I’ve completely polished the barrel and hood to give it that glossy ‘wet’ look and a fresh, new diaphragm has been installed. The blind cap matches the barrel perfectly. The clutch ring is free of nicks or scratches. The manufacturing imprint and date code are faint but still readable without magnifacation. The Jewelers Band cap is in excellent condition with slight corrosion around the top of the clip. The nib is a smooth fine point with consistent flow that is more dry than wet. The following picture shows a comparison of several writing samples and how I evaluate wet and dry. The second from the bottom sample is for this pen.
