Because this listing contains so many pens and nibs I’m going to list the pens for sale without nibs. This gives you the option of buying just the pen itself, just a nib, or to pick your own combination of pen+nib. Any nib bought with a pen will receive a $5 discount. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask. Now, on to the good stuff…
Six Esterbrook J (full size) models, one in each color. All are in excellent working condition and have been polished to a mirror like shine. All the jewels are intact and in perfect condition. All the sacs work and provide a full fill. These Esterbrooks were bought in a set at the 2008 L.A. Pen Show. No nibs included. $25 each. ALL J’s ARE SOLD.
Next up we have two Esterbrook SJ (demi) models in Copper and Blue. These two pens are in very good condition. They have a slight polish to them, just not as good as on the J models above. The jewels are in excellent condition, no cracks or scratches. The sacs are in great condition. No nibs. $20 each. ALL SJ’s ARE SOLD.
Finally, a black, full size Esterbrook Dollar Pen. The Dollar Pens were made from 1934 until 1942 in three different sizes. This one was made in approximately 1940 or later. It has a very good imprint on the barrel and top of the cap. The cap band is tarnished just a bit. The rest of the hardware is in excellent condition. Another great Esterbrook that’s just a bit different from your more common J models. $35 SOLD
Nibs
The 2000 Series nibs, like the 1000 Series, have tips formed by rolling the steel into a “ball”; no tipping material is added at the tip. They also can be found in the thin flat, medium flat, and later round feed styles. Also like the 1000s, these were marketed as “DuraCrome Points.”
