A beautiful, thin, standard length Sheaffer Balance in Ebonized Pearl. It’s a lever fill with chrome trim. There is significant brassing on the lever, a little on the cap band, and some on the clip. The cap and barrel have been lightly polished and a new sac has been installed. There are no cracks or chips or gouges anywhere on the pen. It’s in very good condition except for the chrome hardware.
This pen was made in Canada sometime between 1934-1939. The barrel imprint reads “W.A. SHEAFFER PEN CO.” Next line “(OF CANADA LTD.) TORONTO, ONT. PAT”. Next line is hard to read but looks like “DEC10 12-JAN 27-OCT20-NOV” with several more digits after the “NOV” that I can’t make out.

What really makes this pen special is the flex nib. The imprint on the nib reads “SHEAFFER’S 3-25 MADE IN CANADA”.
