Parker Vacumatic OS

Parker Vacumatic OS

Here’s a sweet Vacumatic I picked up that needed to be retipped. It’s a 1934 Silver Pearl Oversized Vacumatic. I decided to have it retipped by Greg Minuskin and I’m glad I did. He did a marvelous job! It looks like it came from the factory, or at least it could fool me. I had him grind it into a stub and I can’t wait to write with it. The only thing holding me back is I’m waiting for diaphragms to come in. I have another nib from Greg, a music nib for my Parker 51 Flighter, that you’ll see in another post coming up. I have written with that and all I can say about his work is that if you’re thinking about having a nib retipped then what are you waiting for?! Call, email, whatever you have to do to get in contact with Greg, and send him your nib. You won’t regret it. Now, on to the pics. The first four were provided courtesy of Greg Minuskin.

Man, that's a good lookin' nib!
