Pens FOR SALE!!

I’m fairly new to fountain pens and have been buying them in a what some (my finacee) might say an out-of-control manner. These are all pens that just don’t do anything for me for one reason or another and I want to sell them so I can buy more pens and find the ones I really like.

I accept Paypal (plus 5% to cover their fees) and postal money order. Shipping in CONUS is an additional $7. I will ship outside the US for additional charge.

1. Pilot Elite short pen with crosshatched/lattice stainless steel cap and 14k gold medium nib. A great pen, perfect length when posted, just too narrow and light for my tastes (my daily writer is a Levenger Plumpster). Here is a review of this pen by rroossinck. The date code on the nib is H783, which means it was made in July of 1983. Will include a CON-20 squeeze converter. $95 SOLD

2. A black resin Faber Castell Ambition with a custom ground 0.8mm italic nib that borders on being a cursive italic. It produces nice sharp lines and needs a light touch to get the best feel. That doesn’t mean it’s a scratchy or harsh writer. Its nib is definitely on the wet side to help it glide across the paper. Includes Faber Castell branded converter. $70 SOLD

3. Sheaffer No NonSense, black, medium calligraphy nib. I bought this pen without knowing what exactly it was. I used it quite a bit and found out its just not for me. Its in great shape, very light surface scratches. The nib flows well and writes very smooth. $20 SOLD

4. Levenger Decathlon. A beautiful, black, 10-sided pen. I love this pen! Its gorgeous! The only reason I’m selling it is because I have two and don’t need more than one. It comes with a medium nib with the choice of two styles: the polished steel as shown in the pic or a two tone gold and steel as shown at my blog. Comes with Levenger branded converter. $75 SOLD

5. Retro 51 Scriptmaster Series II in Citron with fine nib. This was the first fountain pen I bought. I was immediately attracted to the color of it, it’s stunning! It writes very smooth, and flows great. The only problem is it can be a little finicky when posting the cap. Sometimes it post easily and others times it is hard to get the cap to stay on. Includes converter. $50 SOLD

6. Parker 51 Special, black body, black jewel, fine Octanium nib. The sac is amazingly clear on this one (for more pics check my blog). When you take off the barrel the imprint says “PARKER “51″ SPECIAL TO FILL PRESS RIBBED BAR FOUR TIMES, WIPE FRONT END, PEN POINT DOWN, WITH SOFT TISSUE. USE DRY WRITING SUPERCHROME INK.” The cap says PARKER under the clip and “MADE IN U.S.A.” on the opposite side. I polished the entire pen, barrel, hood, and cap, to a mirror like shine. There is not a surface scratch on this baby! $55 SOLD

7. 1946 Q4 Parker 51 vacumatic filler, black, fine gold nib. I completely restored this 51, polished the body, hood, and cap to a mirror like shine and replaced the diaphragm. The blind cap matches the body perfectly, no ridges at all. Very strong two line imprint on the barrel under the gold wash clutch ring. The cap is mint! No scratches, no tiny dings or dents, nothing. The cap is 1/10 16k gold filled with a blue diamond clip. A superb example of a Parker 51. $130 SOLD

8. 1944 Q3 Parker 51 vacumatic filler, Cedar Blue, fine gold nib. I completely restored this 51 as well. New diaphragm, polished barrel, hood, and cap. Blind cap matches body very nicely, only a very faint ridge can be felt with the fingernail. The imprint on the barrel is very weak, I had to break out the 10X loupe in good lighting to see it. The cap has a blue diamond clip, is 1/8 14k gold filled with 3 dings so small I couldn’t capture them using my Canon 40D. I showed the pen to my fiancee and I had use the tip of another pen to point out where the dings were because the are so small she couldn’t find them. Another great example of a classic pen. $110 SOLD

9. Parker 51 aerometric filler, Teal Blue, user grade pen. Gold nib, wet fine/medium. This pen is in very good condition. I just haven’t gave it the attention I did the others. It has small surface scratches on the barrel and hood and the cap is scratched as well. Nothing rare or shocking here, just an absolutely fantastic writer. This would be my pick of the bunch if I was going to keep one.  $65 SOLD
